When the required feature is selected and detached via the "On another" mode on any GCC.
At the moment of detaching the license, it is necessary to know on which computer it will be used - its name will need to be selected from the drop-down list.
For offline detachment
To detach the license follow the steps below:
- Open GCC on the host computer,
- On the Dongles page, find the needed key
- Find the line with the required feature or product and click Detach License icon.
On the Detached License page, verify that all required features are present.
In the Where the license will be used section, select the Other PC radio button. *
In the PC drop-down list, find and select the name of the second computer.
Specify the end date of the license or the number of days of use.
Check that the selected features have a license validity period longer than the period selected during the detachment step.
By default, the maximum detachment period is 30 days. This value can be changed in the Settings section on the Detached Licenses page.
It is not recommended to set a value greater than 30 days, since the license cannot be returned in advance without access to the second computer.
Click Detach License.
Enter your GCC login password and click Login. A message "Done! License was detached" will appear.
The screen will display the name of the license file and a button to download it.
By default, the password to enter the Settings section is admin.
- Click Save and send the license file to the second computer (the file with the *.json extension contains the name of the computer to which this license will be attached).
*If the required computer does not appear in the field, it must be added to the list in the Settings - Detach Licenses section
Add a Detached License to a Second Computer
To add a detached license to a second computer, it is necessary to install GCC on that computer. The installation process is described in a special section.
To add a detached license follow the steps:
- Open GCC on the second computer.
- Go to the Dongles page.
- Click the plus sign in the upper right corner.
- Click Select and find the file on your computer that you sent from the host computer.
- Select this file and click Open - the message "Done. The license was added." will appear. **
- After the detached license expires, it must be returned to the host computer (via the network or as a file).
**If a message appears when adding a detached license to a second computer:
"The selected key is not suitable for use on this computer. If you are sure that this key was detached for your computer, your computer fingerprint may have changed.
Use the new fingerprint to detach the license."
You must check the settings for Detach licenses
