titleNetwork dongles

The Guardant network dongles are designed to provide protection and licensing of network applications. Licensing refers to a limited number of client applications working in the LAN simultaneously. The purpose of licensing is to restrict the launches of client applications exceeding the number permitted by the developer. The license resource is recorded by the developer into the network dongle’s memory.

It is sufficient to use one Guardant network dongle across an entire local area network (LAN) for protecting and licensing a network product. It can be installed on any work station or server in the LAN.

Network dongles include the following features:

titleNetwork resource of dongles and their distribution

Every dongle holds a certain network resource, which allows for limiting the number of simultaneously working clients. The dongle’s network resource can be distributed among workstations or application copies (starting with Guardant software version 5.1) depending on the task to be solved.

The license management system is used for multimodal applications, when every application module also has a separate network resource assigned to it.
